For Transitions
How Can Coaching Help During a Time of Transition?
Transition coaching helps people going through minor transitions, as well as major transitions, such as retirement, changing careers, starting a family, and recovering from death or divorce.
I help clients see their own unique situations and the many ways life might move forward.
Preparing for those changes, adapting to those changes, and planning a response to those changes are all a part of the outcomes that a coach can help the client develop.
Even more important than the external and logistical aspects of transitions, a coach can help the client explore the deep personal issues of motivation and self-identity that will help them to respond effectively during a period of transition.

On Retirement
The grandparent of all transitions is retirement. Retirement, whether eagerly anticipated or dreaded, is best approached with proper preparation. When should I retire? Where should I retire? How should I retire? When will I have enough money saved to retire with the lifestyle I desire?
As important as those questions are, the most important question for anyone considering retirement is the “who” of retirement. Who am I now and who will I be in retirement? How will I find meaning and purpose during that season of my life?
